Welcome to Second Opinion Challenge
We at SOC want to give you the best there is in Janeway/Seven creative
challenges. We challenged the J/7 community in ways they had never imagined
before, but to ensure as many participants as possible, we also came
up with the following incentives:
~ We adored all contributions! It didn't matter whether someone was
a novice or a seasoned writer, whether they made music video's or prefered
captioned pictures. The stories could be long or short, angsty, romantic,
smutty or mysterious; the music to the video's could be schmaltzy or
classical and pictures could be grainy or smooth, hysterically funny
or serious.
To prove this, anybody who enters received a token of our appreciation
simply for entering.
~ Of course there were prizes. If a creative work was chosen as best
entry, we promised a lot of goodies which we hoped they'd share with
the rest of us...
~ A special jury chose a winner for the jury prize. Any entry that
didn't top the poll was automatically up for this special prize and
trust us when we say, it was something you really wanted to win!
~ All feedback to the entries would be put up on a special page (with
the fb writers permission of course) to honor all the people in this
community who take the time and make the effort to spur writers and
video makers on.
~ Lots of other goodies were on offer on our site to make this as
much fun as possible, such as the plot generator and the SOC song.
Many joined us in the challenge: it was fun, adventurous, and courageous!
It was everything Janeway is and more! (Ok, that's a lie... it was not
drop dead gorgeous in a tank top with a gun, but it was all the rest!)
